Accounting

Beancount + Fava

A plain-text double-entry accounting system with Fava as its web interface. Your books are a simple text file — readable by anyone, backed up anywhere, and queryable with AI in plain language. We teach you how to set it up and use it — you run it yourself.

  • Set up a complete chart of accounts from scratch
  • Record transactions, reconcile accounts, generate reports
  • Track expenses across multiple currencies
  • Use Fava (web UI) to visualise P&L and balance sheets
  • Use AI to auto-categorise transactions from bank exports

Write presentations in Markdown. Export to PowerPoint, PDF, or host as a web page. Stop fighting slide software — focus on your ideas. Because it's plain text, AI can draft, edit, and restructure your slides effortlessly.

Sessions are held at our Petaling Jaya office by default. If your organisation has a larger group, we can bring the training to your premises.

What this is and isn't: We teach you how to use these open-source tools so you can leverage AI better. We don't develop custom solutions or host anything as part of this training — you'll learn to run everything yourself. Sessions are scheduled when sufficient interest is shown. Training is in Bahasa Malaysia or English, your choice. Participants need a laptop with internet access.
